Jansen Luke Rigney

Attorney | Trademarks, Brand Protection & IP Strategy

Jansen Rigney helps founders and business owners turn their names, logos, and creative work into protected business assets - offering clear, practical guidance at the intersection of trademarks, brand protection, and intellectual property strategy.

Based in Oklahoma, Jansen works with startups, small businesses, and growing companies that want to level up without leaving their legal foundations behind. He brings a sharp systems mindset and a steady, strategic approach to building and defending brand rights.

Before IP law, Jansen’s path led through criminal and family law, public defense, and the district attorney’s office. His early legal career - shaped by courtroom work and high-stress advocacy - taught him how to explain risk clearly and advocate when it matters most. Now, he brings that same clarity and tenacity to the world of intellectual property, especially when disputes or brand conflicts arise.

With a background in science and operations, Jansen holds a B.S. in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He previously worked in microbiology labs and as a materials lead in aerospace engineering - responsible for the compliance and quality of highly regulated components. That experience instilled the precision and foresight that now define his legal practice: detail-oriented, system-aware, and always thinking a few steps ahead.

He also spent years managing restaurants, which gave him a lasting respect for small business owners - the long hours, tight margins, and the reality that reputation is often a company’s most valuable asset. That perspective fuels his passion for IP law: helping protect the identity and story behind a business, so it can grow with confidence.

“I want my clients to walk away with clarity - not just about the law, but about their options, their risks, and their power to move forward on solid ground.”

Outside of work, Jansen enjoys time with his family, duck hunting, early mornings in the outdoors, and the kind of quiet focus that calls for patience and attention to detail - qualities that show up just as much in his legal practice.
